What's Different About the Charging Setup?
The 2027 Chevy Bolt features an improved North American Charging System (NACS) charging port. This setup supports both AC and DC fast charging, boosting your charging speed by 2.5x. The new model also features a heat pump for better cold-weather range management (a key component for battling winters in Owosso or Mason). The 2023 model does not have this charging system, which results in slower yet still efficient charging times. Also, the heat pump system is not available.
What's Different About the Driving Range?
Range and horsepower are nearly identical between the two models. The 2027 Chevy Bolt EV delivers an EPA-estimated range of 262 miles with a 65-kWh battery and 201 horsepower. The 2023 model also features a 65-kWh battery pack with a range of 259 miles, and 200 horsepower.
What's Different About the Trim Levels?
The new Chevy Bolt EV features over 20 standard safety and driver assistance features and an 11.3-inch touchscreen. Additionally, for the first time ever, the Chevy Bolt EV will include a sporty RS trim. If you love Chevy, then you know that this trim level takes exterior styling to the next level. The Bolt EV RS features:
- 17-inch Black wheels
- Gloss Black roof rails
- A unique grill with distinct RS badging
- Multi-color ambient lighting
- Black Evotex seats with Red stitching
The previous-gen Chevy Bolt EV also offers two trim levels, the 1LT and the 2LT. Interior features, like heated front seats and a 10.2-inch touchscreen, abound, but the exterior styling is less modern for 2023.
